Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse, Hospital RN
Job Summary:
As an Emergency Room Nurse, Hospital RN, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients in critical condition in the emergency room setting. You will work quickly and efficiently to provide life-saving care to patients in need of immediate medical attention.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing patients' conditions and prioritizing care based on severity
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Performing emergency procedures such as CPR, intubation, and wound care
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Documenting patient information and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner
- Providing emotional support to patients and their families during times of crisis
- Participating in ongoing training and education to stay current on best practices in emergency care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room or critical care setting
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and in high-stress situations
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
