Job Title: Long Term Care Nursing Supervisor (LTC)
Job Summary:
The Long Term Care Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing staff in a long-term care facility. They ensure that proper patient care is being provided, staff are following protocols, and regulatory requirements are being met.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff.
2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure quality patient care.
3. Conduct regular rounds to monitor patient condition and staff performance.
4. Review patient charts and documentation to ensure accuracy.
5. Provide support and guidance to nursing staff.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop care plans.
7. Assist in staff training and development.
8. Handle patient complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
9. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
10. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Computer proficiency
