Job Title: Obstetrics RN
Job Summary:
As an Obstetrics RN, you will be responsible for providing care and support to pregnant women before, during, and after childbirth. You will work alongside physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of both the mother and baby.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor the progress of labor and provide assistance and support to mothers during childbirth
- Administer medication, perform medical procedures, and provide education on prenatal care
- Assist with cesarean sections and other medical interventions as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans for each patient
- Provide emotional support and guidance to mothers and families throughout the childbirth process
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records
- Participate in educational programs and stay up-to-date on best practices in obstetrics nursing
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent
- Certification in Obstetrics Nursing (RNC-OB) preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in high-stress situations
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
