Job Title: Certified Medication Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Medication Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will be responsible for administering medication and assisting patients with daily activities under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Your compassion, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential to providing quality care to patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer medication to patients as prescribed by a healthcare provider
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Follow proper infection control procedures to ensure the safety of patients and staff
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and their families
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant training program
- Current certification as a Certified Medication Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant
- Ability to work well in a team setting and follow instruction from healthcare providers
- Strong communication skills and empathy for patients
- Ability to lift and move patients with proper body mechanics
