Job Title: ICU RN (Intensive Care)
Job Summary:
The ICU RN is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit. They monitor patients' conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and overall condition
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
4. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
5. Monitor and interpret diagnostic tests
6. Respond to emergencies and provide immediate patient care
7. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
8. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
9. Assist with medical procedures as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Registered Nurse (RN) license
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. At least 2 years of experience in intensive care nursing
4. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
7. Knowledge of advanced medical equipment and procedures
8. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
9. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
