Job Title: OR Technologist, Surgical Technologist
Job Summary:
As an OR Technologist, Surgical Technologist, you will assist in surgical operations by preparing operating rooms, arranging surgical equipment, and helping surgeons during procedures. Your attention to detail and sterile technique will ensure that surgeries are conducted safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures
2. Set up surgical instruments and equipment
3. Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments and supplies
4. Maintain sterile field throughout procedures
5. Anticipate surgical team's needs and provide necessary support
6. Help transport patients to and from operating room
7. Keep accurate records of procedures and supplies used
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
2. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
3. Knowledge of surgical procedures and medical terminology
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
6. Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy equipment
7. Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control
