Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary:
The Cath Lab RN is responsible for assisting in various cardiac procedures, including angioplasties, stent placements, and pacemaker insertions. They work closely with cardiologists and other members of the healthcare team to ensure the safety and well-being of patients undergoing these procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor patients during cardiac procedures and provide necessary medications and interventions.
2. Assist cardiologists with catheterization procedures and imaging techniques.
3. Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and management.
4. Document all patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
6. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures regarding patient care and safety.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS and ACLS certification.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab setting.
4. Strong communication and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
6. Knowledge of cardiac medications and interventions.
