Job Title: Radiology Nurse, Cath Lab RN
Job Summary: As a Radiology Nurse specializing in the Cath Lab, you will be responsible for assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures, administering medications, monitoring patient vital signs, and providing patient education and support. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab
2. Administer medications and IV fluids as ordered by the physician
3. Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment
4. Provide patient education and support before, during, and after procedures
5. Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
6. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the Cath Lab
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures
9. Participate in continuing education and training to stay current in radiology and cath lab practices
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Previous experience in radiology and/or the cath lab preferred
4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
7. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
8. Ability to multitask and prioritize patient care needs
9. Knowledge of radiology equipment and procedures
10. Familiarity with electronic health record systems
