Job Title: Behavioral Health Nurse Manager
Job Summary:
The Behavioral Health Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and providing quality care to patients in a behavioral health setting. They will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, as well as ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Supervise and manage the nursing staff in a behavioral health unit.
2. Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
3. Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and standards.
4. Provide direct patient care as needed.
5. Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
6. Provide education and support to patients and their families.
7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
8. Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
9. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
10. Assist in recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of nursing staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
3. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in behavioral health nursing.
4. Previous experience in a leadership or management role preferred.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and standards for behavioral health nursing.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
8. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
10. Current BLS certification.
