Job Title: Family Practice
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Practice/OB Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Family Practice/OB Physician, you will provide comprehensive and continuous care to patients of all ages, including pregnant women. Your primary role will involve diagnosing and treating various illnesses, conducting preventative health screenings, managing chronic conditions, and providing pre and postnatal care. A holistic approach to patient care is essential, ensuring a patient-centered atmosphere and building long-term relationships with patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions
- Provide prenatal and postnatal care, including assisting in childbirth and performing C-sections when necessary
- Screen and monitor patients for various health conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and cancer
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans, while considering patient needs and any contraindications
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work, imaging, and ultrasounds
- Educate patients and their families on preventive care measures, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and quality patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Stay current with advancements in medical knowledge and techniques through continuous education and professional development
Qualifications and Skills:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board certification in Family Medicine and Obstetrics (ABFM and/or ABOG)
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Experience in prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postnatal care
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Empathy and compassion in providing patient-centered care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
