Job title: Long Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
As a Long Term Care CNA, you will be responsible for providing daily care and assistance to residents in long term care facilities. You will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse to help with activities of daily living, monitor patient vital signs, and provide emotional support to residents and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting residents with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Monitoring residents' vital signs and reporting any changes to medical staff
- Assisting with mobility and transferring residents in and out of bed or wheelchairs
- Providing emotional support and companionship to residents
- Assisting with meals and feeding residents who require assistance
- Keeping accurate records of patient care and interactions
- Maintaining a clean and organized environment for residents
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Physical stamina to lift and assist residents with mobility
- Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and medical terminology
